JUMP TO RECIPE

Getting the food on the table for my little guy isn’t the hard part, but getting the nutrition in the food and actually getting him to eat it - that’s another conversation. He loves helping us when we’re making meals in the kitchen, so we’ve gotten him fully involved in the process of making his own meals. Doing that alone seems to get him excited about eating his meals daily.

The one thing I love about this idea for a toddler meal is that it’s super easy and it’s quick. There are just a few basic ingredients, and not a lot of time is needed. Plus, with the fresh spinach addition, I feel good knowing he’s getting some good iron through those dark leafy greens.

Another great thing about this recipe is that you can easily adapt it to your toddler’s dietary needs. I don’t know one toddler that doesn’t love bread and cheese, so you can even do these with no meat if you wanted for a great vegetarian meal too. My husband and I love these ourselves too. We pack them with mozzarella cheese and get a little serving of extra sauce on the side.
