Fall is the time of the year when you can get extra cozy and comfy, with yourself, your child(ren) or your significant other. What better way to get ready for it and spruce up your bedroom. Bedrooms are the perfect place for relaxing, snuggling under blankets, and sleeping in. I’m sharing with you some fall bedding trends that I love and they will surely give you a comfy, cozy and beautiful bedroom this season!

1) Velvet and metallic

Velvet is one of my favorite textures. It’s got it’s place in any glammed up and decorated house, and it’s always beautiful in any bedroom!

With the soft subtle texture of velvet and the various colors and shimmer of nice metallic, you can create gorgeous fine bedding that will look like it belongs on the cover of Home and Garden Magazine. As an added bonus, the textures and shades of velvet and metallics can easily transition to wonderful bedding for winter too.

2) Bold fall colors

While the bedroom might be a place for calmness and relaxing, it can also be the place for boldness. Bold fall color bedding trends really give you the feel of fall inside of those four walls. Some colors you can rely on include:

Silver
- Silver adds a cool feel.
Blue
- Blues are extremely calming for your mood.
Dark Orange
- Oranges can play on the nostalgic warmth of fall.
Deep Purple
- Purple highlights the richness of the season

3) Faux fur pillows and throws

Faux fur is a great compliment to your home, giving a picturesque appearance by adding new textures. Not only that but when not in use, you can easily store them away. Faux fur pillows and throws add a nice luxurious and extraordinary level of warmth to your decor and can look great anywhere from your living room couch to your bed.

Decorative pillow hack: Instead of buying several different pillows, stick to a few pillow sizes you know are useful on your bed, and just buy pillow covers that you can switch out. This hack is not only going to save you space (because who has time to store a bunch of pillows every season) but it’s also easy on your wallet.

4) Down duvet covers

A large down cover paired with crisp white king-size bed sheets (or whatever size bed you have) can provide extra comfort and give you that happy clean feeling every time you crawl into bed.

Bedding hack: You can add a feather bed underneath your fitted sheet for extra softness too! Imagine crawling into that comfy bed every night. On second thought, maybe you shouldn’t, you may never want to leave it. :D Another tip: Look for extra deep fitted sheets if your mattress needs extra coverage.

5) Chunky and Cable knit Items

Chunky textures have been around for a long time and don’t appear to be going anywhere anytime soon, so embrace this fall bedding trend and enjoy them in your bedroom or even the family room.

Chunky cable knits give a nice soft aesthetically pleasing look to just about everything it touches. A large chunky knit blanket can do wonders for making your bed look and feel amazing.
